For Spain’s and Portugal’s investment program, you have to meet the following qualifying criteria:

Portugal Golden Visa VS Spain Validity Period
Portugal’s investment program visa is initially valid for one year, after which you must renew your permission every two years; finally, five years later, you may apply for a permanent permit.
On the other hand, Spain’s investment visa is good for two years, following which it can be renewed every two years. Similar to Portugal, you can apply for a permanent residency visa five years after holding a temporary permission.
