A Malta D visa (also known as a national visa) is provided to non-EU citizens who wish to move to Malta to live, work, invest, or study. • Malta Work Visa – You must apply for a work visa if you wish to work in Malta. A Malta work visa allows you to work and live in Malta for more than three months and is renewable for the duration of your employment contract.
• Malta Student Visa – You can apply for a Malta student visa if you intend to study there. This sort of visa is valid for one year and can be extended for the duration of your studies. Requirements for a National D Visa for Malta

Submit these documents when applying for a type D visa for Malta:

• Valid passport. A passport must be valid at least three months after the return date and not older than ten years.
• Passport sizes photos. Two photos in a passport format following the Schengen photo requirements.
