Prettiest Islands In The World

Published

on

There are some truly breathtaking islands in the globe, ranging from Caribbean charmers to northern nooks that could be from another planet entirely, with lots of variety in between. They’re a shining example of nature’s enchanting power. Nobody wants to be shipwrecked, but you could do worse than come ashore on one of these beauties. If you visit these, remember to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a good book. Here are our picks for the world’s best islands.

1. St Barts

Officially known as the Collectivité territoriale de Saint-Barthélemy, St Barts is everything that dreamers have always imagined tropical paradises to be. That means sparkling blue oceans, leisurely sunsets, and yachts as far as the eye can view, all guarded by a seventeenth-century fort on a picturesque hill.

This small Caribbean island has a rich history, as seen by the diverse architecture of its volcanic landscape. That is, if you can tear yourself away from the gourmet restaurants and designer boutiques.

2. Bora Bora

It’s so good that they named it twice. An old joke, of course, but one that must be told every time, because low-hanging fruit is the most succulent. Bora Bora is also a very succulent spot, with plenty of low-hanging fruit, however tourists to this slice of enchantment north-west of Tahiti will be too busy looking around.

Bora Bora, a tremendously popular scuba-diving resort, was built on a massive dormant volcano, which was once gorgeously ferocious but is now shrouded in total peace.

3. Cape Breton

Canada’s easternmost edge is an adventurer’s dream. Cape Breton Island is most renowned for the spectacular Cabot Trail, a 298-kilometer road with rough coastal scenery that will melt the heart of even the most seasoned traveler. The island revolves around what happens outside, and any location with a huge statue of a violin is worth noting. Every year, whales come to take a look at this stunning location.

4. Hvar

Croatia has no shortage of islands, but the gorgeous Hvar remains the most popular. Not sure why. Just look at the location: Hvar offers everything a Dalmatian island could wish. It’s full of historical sites as well as modern comforts, and the short drive from Split is stunning in its own right. Although other Croatian islands, such as Brač, Krka, and Prvić, merit consideration, Hvar stands apart.

5. Aruba

Aruba, a component republic of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, is located just 29 kilometers north of Venezuela and has a population of slightly more than 100,000. Who cares about the details? We’re here for the beautiful white dunes and breathtaking views, the vivid art festivals and seductive architecture, as well as the nightlife and surreal landscapes that this town has to offer.

6. Ischia

Ischia’s hot springs are a wonderful blessing. Looking for a serious recuperation? You’ll find enough of it on this small island in the Gulf of Naples, which has long drawn people looking for a pick-me-up. The hot springs at Maronti Beach in the south are worth a visit on their own, but Ischia’s combination of old architecture and natural beauty will keep visitors entertained for hours.

7. Palawan

Palawan is sometimes referred to as the most beautiful island on the earth, and it is undoubtedly the most romantic destination in the Philippines, which is saying something.

Palawan’s biodiversity is its calling card, with an astonishing range of living species conjuring up vivid visuals that are almost unbelievable – but don’t make the mistake of doubting your own eyes here. All this without mentioning the magic that awaits underground?

8. The Galapagos

When it comes to biodiversity, islands do not get much more exciting than the Galapagos. These volcanic wonders spanning the equator are famed for the creatures found exclusively here.

These islands gave us the theory of evolution, so they’re very important, and we enjoy it when important sites are also breathtakingly gorgeous. This place doesn’t disappoint.

We’re not sure if the Maldives is now officially the world’s honeymoon capital, but there’s something charming about this Indian Ocean archipelago that attracts newlyweds. The sights and attractions here may surprise you, and having the opportunity to discuss them while relaxing on some of the world’s best beaches is an enjoyable experience.
