1. Anjouan

Mamoudzou is where you’ll find the restaurants, businesses, and shopping on Mayotte. It’s a large town and many areas are neglected, but this is still the best place for shopping and eating on the island.

On a first look at the site of Lac Sale, Grande Comoros, one might think it’s as good as a crater. It is. The place is often called a holy place. This site is popular for its natural, hot sulphuric springs.

15. Mt Ntingui

Mt Ntingui is Anjouan’s highest point. It is over 1600 meters high, and the ascent is difficult. Because of the weather, the summit is frequently cloudy, but if you’re lucky and the cloud clears, you’ll have a spectacular view of the archipelago’s four islands.
