Manchester United and Bayern Munich are in talks for Sunderland rising midfielder
According to Manchester News, Bayern Munich is one of the clubs seeking for a developing star from the Championship (via @iMiaSanMia).
Manchester United and Bayern Munich are interested in Sunderland midfielder Chris Rigg (17). The teenager only signed his first professional deal with Sunderland this summer, having celebrated his 17th birthday in June [@MENnewsdesk].
This approach to youth signings, focussing on established players from lower-tier clubs, is clearly effective. Bayern could surely use some new midfield talent in the future, since Joshua Kimmich, Konrad Laimer, and Leon Goretzka are getting older by the minute.
Chris Rigg plays higher up the pitch and can even play as a winger in certain occasions. Last season, he made a name for himself with occasional appearances, scoring twice in eight Championship starts. This season, he finally got his name on the scoresheet against Middlesbrough last week and has shown a lot of promise given his age.
