Kieran Tierney ditches Celtic tradition as Arsenal defender set for injury comeback - Football Scotland

Kieran Tierney has been photographed training for Arsenal over the international break, with one notable exception.

The full-back was well-known for practicing alongside Scott Brown at Celtic without regard for the weather, typically wearing short sleeves and not tracksuit bottoms come rain, hail, or shine. However, he is back in training and completely prepared for the elements—and, more importantly, a return to first-team action.

He has been linked with a return to Celtic Park, particularly in the summer, but is yet to appear for the Premier League title-chasing side led by Mikel Arteta this season. He spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad and represented Scotland in the Euros in the summer, but was forced to miss the final game due to an injury sustained in the 1-1 tie with Switzerland.

He said: “I think he’s quite close, he looks good, really sharp. He hasn’t trained with the team yet, hopefully he can do that in the next week or two.”
