Just In: Nick Saban sends shocking message to Georgia’s head coach following the loss to Alabama just now
On ESPN’s “College GameDay” on Saturday, Nick Saban revealed that he texted Kirby Smart following Georgia’s 41-34 loss to Alabama the previous week.
While the fact that Saban, 72, texted someone may appear newsworthy, the former Alabama coach divulged the contents of his message to his ex-defensive coordinator.
“I know how disappointed everyone in Georgia must have felt after the loss,” Saban told the crowd. “I texted Kirby and told him, ‘This isn’t the worst thing that’s happened.'”
He went on: “Many of our best teams lost at some point, but they bounced back due to strong leadership that kept the team focused on what it takes to succeed.”
