Guardians Send Three-Word Message to Fans Following ALCS Loss
The Cleveland Guardians were eliminated from the 2024 playoffs on Saturday after losing Game 5 of the American League Championship Series to the New York Yankees.
With the loss, the Guardians’ season ends, and the Yankees progress to the World Series, where they will face either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the New York Mets.
Although it is difficult to get so close to a World Series participation, the Guardians organization is proud of its team and sent a message to its fans.
According to Cleveland Guardians on ‘X,’ the Guardians would like to say, “Thank You Fans.”

Guardians fans remained loyal to their team throughout the 2024 season and postseason, through all of the highs and lows, and they never gave up until the final pitch of the season.
The Guardians finished the regular season with a record of 92 wins and 69 losses, good for the American League Central championship.
Their postseason also included a five-game victory against American League Central rivals the Detroit Tigers in the American League Division Series.
It was their first ALCS trip since losing the World Series in 2016, and they appear to have had a successful season.
The Guardians have one of the youngest teams in Major League Baseball, and they hope to recover and prepare for another run in 2025.
They will be attempting to win their first back-to-back American League Central crowns since 2017 and 2018.
One option they could consider in the offseason is adding another starting pitcher to their rotation.
