Chris Sutton’s excellent swipe at Kris Boyd following Rangers breakdown
Chris Sutton, a former Celtic striker, was pictured reacting beautifully to Kris Boyd after Kilmarnock beat Rangers. After Celtic surrendered points at home to Aberdeen yesterday, Philippe Clement’s team had the opportunity to narrow the gap between top and second place with a win over Killie.
However, a late goal by Marley Watkins secured three points for Derek McInnes’ team. It was a goal that enraged the Rangers fans who made their way to Rugby Park. Boyd, a former Rangers and Killie striker, was among those involved.
Sutton and Boyd frequently disagree on Sky Sports, with Sutton routinely winning the arguments. On this occasion, the Premier League winner could merely smile as Boyd highlighted the concerns that Rangers have failed to address.
“Go and get a cuddle in the car park?” Kris Boyd and Chris Sutton share a moment during the post-match chat
The Englishman, who was sandwiched between Steven Davies and Boyd, will have enjoyed the afternoon in Ayrshire after saying when he signed for Celtic that he intended to knock Rangers off their perch. Their fanbase is completely frightened right now and is on the verge of demanding that the manager hand over his notes.
This week brings midweek European action before Celtic meet Motherwell on Sunday at Fir Park and Rangers welcome St Mirren at Ibrox. The Sunday games are followed by a critical midweek fixture card, with Celtic hosting Dundee and Rangers visiting Pittodrie to face Aberdeen.
