Ally McCoist and Jeff Stelling believe all football fans will agree with their Everton bizarre claim

Everton have been frequently involved in relegation battles since Rafael Benitez took over.

Stelling & McCoist laud Dyche at Everton in PL award verdict

Frank Lampard was their initial saviour, but his long-term prospects were questionable, prompting Sean Dyche to take the Goodison Park hot seat to save them again.

He is now the longest-serving manager under Farhad Moshiri, with his contract set to expire this summer.

And two well-known analysts have already come out in support of the 53-year-old’s successful conclusion to his stint on Merseyside.

Ally McCoist & Jeff Stelling make Everton relegation claim

Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist were on talkSPORT this morning (08/10, 9:38 a.m.) to discuss the latest football news.

However, with the international break looming, there was nothing to go on.

What they did briefly settle on was Everton’s relegation chances, with the latter first noting: ‘I don’t care what anybody says, me personally speaking as a football fan, I would not like to see Everton start next season in a new stadium in anything other than the top flight, I have got to say.’

Stelling would reply: ‘I don’t think many football fans will wish that on Everton, that’s for sure. They just lack a bit of creativity, don’t they, in the middle of the park, although I think Ndiaye gives them a bit down the flank.’

McCoist was also quick to applaud Iliman Ndiaye, saying, “He has looked lively, I have to say.”

‘It was a strong point and they have sorted out, they were giving away goals, uncharacteristic goals, that in normal circumstances they wouldn’t give away. I genuinely think there has been a little bit of turn in form and I do think they will be fine.’

Everton should have more than enough to avoid relegation

With players like Ndiaye on board and a far stronger squad than last season, the Toffees should be able to easily avoid relegation.

After all, they finished 15th last season, 14 points above the relegation zone, despite receiving an eight-point deduction.

Everton boss Sean Dyche has signed players such as Tim Iroegbunam, Jesper Lindstrom, and Orel Mangala to strengthen their attacking and midfield positions.

The hope is that once Dan Friedkin completes his Everton takeover, January can be both profitable and progressive.

All of this, combined with the fact that Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Southampton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Crystal Palace are all struggling, creates a very promising picture for a team that has lost its first four Premier League games.
