The University of Michigan’s High Potential Scholarship is intended to help 150 exceptional international students pursue undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degrees. The High Potential Scholarship is a $35,000 annual award that covers tuition and a monthly stipend for highly talented students from outside the United States. Every academic year, the High Potential Scholarship programme awards 150 $35,000 scholarships to highly talented students from outside the United States.
The scholarship is designed to assist students who have been admitted to an undergraduate, master’s, or PhD program at the University of Michigan.
The Scholarship programme includes both the High Potential Scholarship (funded by the University Scholarship Fund) and the Albright Scholarship, which is funded by the Vanderbilt Institute in collaboration with the J.Morgan Grant.
Requirements:
To be considered for the University of Michigan High Potential Scholarship, you must:
- Have submitted an application to the University of Michigan for a full-time program for the 2024–2025 academic year.
Meet U.S. visa requirements for international study - Not be a citizen of the United States, the European Union/EEA, Switzerland, or Surinam.
- Demonstrate remarkable scholastic accomplishments, ranking in the top 5% of applicants.
- Have never attended a degree-seeking program in the United States (participants in exchange programs are accepted).
Be younger than 45 on September 1, 2024.
