The Sustainable Thermal Energy Systems Research group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Calgary is currently looking for a passionate, highly motivated, self-disciplined M.Sc. student for a project in integrated concentrating solar power and pumped thermal energy storage.
The department is specifically looking for individuals who are passionate about sustainable energy and who possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical skills, can work independently, and have excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Requirements:
To be considered for the University of Calgary Masters Scholarship, you must:
- Have a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
- Meet the entrance and English Language requirements of the University of Calgary.
- Experience and proficiency with engineering simulation and programming tools, including ANSYS Fluent, TRNSYS, Python, MATLAB, and COMSOL Multiphysics, among others.
- The position is available immediately and is subject to successful admission to the M.Sc. program in the Department of
- Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Calgary.
