MTN Media Internship Program 2024 | How To Apply

The PAU/MTN Media Internship Program is a joint initiative of MTN and Pan-Atlantic University designed to teach young Africans how to effectively use technology to create impactful media content.

Selected participants will receive full funding to attend training in South Africa, with all expenses covered, in order to increase their knowledge and skill base and better understand the changing media landscape.

Details:

The MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP) is a 6-week program for Nigerian media practitioners that runs over six months.

The program will broaden participants’ knowledge and skill sets, as well as help them understand the changing media landscape and how to use technology effectively to create impactful media content.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be considered for the MTN Media Innovation Program, you must satisfy the following criteria:

• Must be a media professional/practitioner
• Must have a valid International Passport
• Must pass a written test and any subsequent interviews
• Must get a written release from employers to participate in the programme

Benefits of MTN Media Internship Program

• The six-month, fully funded fellowship for Nigerian media practitioners is designed to support the sustainable development of the nation’s changing media scene.
• The program is open to media practitioners across the spectrum, including print, electronic, online platforms and social media content creators.
• The course is designed to give participants a greater understanding of Nigeria’s technology sector and the nexus between media and technology; it will also leave participants better able to adapt to changing realities.
• Fellows will also have access to professional resources and mentorship from the SMC faculty.

Programme Structure for MTN Media Innovation Program

• 33 Days in Class
  All accepted candidates will spend 33 days in class in the course of the training.
• 7 Days in South Africa
  An all expense paid trip to SouthAfrica for a 7 days training.
• 1 Day in MTN Nigeria Headquarters
  Candidates will be tutored at the MTN Nigeria Headquarters and MTN Group Headquarters.
• 1 Industry Visits and Tours
  A one day training at the Innovation Hub.
