Saudi Arabia: King Fahd University Scholarship For International Students

Currently, the University offers 30 Master’s degrees and 10 Doctoral programs in a variety of traditional disciplines, as well as interdisciplinary programs that anticipate market trends and respond to national requirements. KFUPM offers full MS and PhD scholarships to outstanding graduate students who have demonstrated a strong interest in undertaking original research in the fields of Engineering, Sciences, and, Business, Mathematics.

Scholarship Requirements:

To be considered for the King Fahd University Scholarship, you must:

For MS Programs in Engineering or Sciences

• four-year Bachelor’s (B.S.) Degree in engineering or science from a recognized institution with a major in the proposed field or evidence of suitable background for entering the proposed field.
• A Grade-Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent (For Scholarship Applicants ) or 2.50 or higher on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent (For Non-Scholarship Applicants).
• Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score of 520 (PBT), 190 (CBT) or 70 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the
• Deanship of Graduate Studies (KFUPM code is 0868). IELTS is also acceptable (min 6.0).
• Two letters of recommendation, preferably from the faculty who taught the applicant university-level courses. [to be submitted through the online recommendation system]
• Satisfactorily meeting any additional departmental or university admission requirements.

For MS Programs in Bussiness Administration

• A four-year Bachelor’s (B.A., B.S. or B.E.) Degree in business, engineering or sciences fields from a recognized institution.
• A Grade-Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.0 or equivalent. Official transcripts and degree certificates are required for final admission.
• Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score of 520 (PBT), 190 (CBT) or 70 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the
• Deanship of Graduate Studies (KFUPM code is 0868). IELTS is also acceptable [min 6.0].
• Completion of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT ) with a minimum score of 450. The GMAT scores must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies (KFUPM code for GMAT is 0868).
• Two letters of recommendation, preferably from the faculty who taught the applicant undergraduate courses. [to be submitted through the online recommendation system]
• At least one course in college-level calculus which covers both differentiation and integration subjects.
• A working knowledge of computers as evidenced by at least one course in that area (e.g. data processing, programming, information systems, etc.)
• At least three years of full-time work experience. This requirement may be waived for graduate assistants, research assistants, and applicants with exceptional academic records. For Executive MBA program, a minimum experience of 8 years, including 3 years in mid or upper-level managerial position.
• Satisfactorily meeting any additional departmental or university admission requirementsA minimum GPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent in both the B.S. and M.S. degrees. Official transcripts and degree certificates are required for admission.
• Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score for MS admission of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 80 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies. The KFUPM code is 0868. IELTS is also acceptable [min 6.5].Two letters of recommendation, preferably from the faculty who taught the applicant graduate courses.
• Satisfactorily meeting any additional departmental or university admission requirements.

For PhD Programs

• An M.S. degree in engineering or science from an institution whose graduate programs are equivalent to those of (KFUPM), with a major in the proposed field or evidence of suitable background for entering the proposed field.
• A minimum GPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent in both the B.S. and M.S. degrees. Official transcripts and degree certificates are required for admission.
• Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score for MS admission of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 80 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies. The KFUPM code is 0868. IELTS is also acceptable [min 6.5].
• Two letters of recommendation, preferably from the faculty who taught the applicant graduate courses.
• Satisfactorily meeting any additional departmental or university admission requirements

Scholarship Duration and Reward

The scholarship will provide a full tuition fee waiver for the program of study with fully furnished air-conditioned accommodation, free meals, monthly stipends, air travel tickets and free medical care.
