The Dash Scholarship at University of Ghana is completely sponsored, including the price of tuition, on-campus housing, living expenses, and the costs of research, seminars, and publication.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for postgraduate (master’s & PhD) DASH Scholarships for training in Adolescent and Young Adult Health at the School of Public Health, University of Ghana.
The University of Ghana in collaboration with seven other universities and research institutions in sub-Saharan Africa, including Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda; and two German institutions is implementing a multi-country adolescent health intervention study titled “Research Network for Design and evaluation of Adolescent Health Interventions and Policies in Sub-Saharan Africa (DASH).
The overarching and long-term goal of DASH is to promote and improve adolescent health in sub-Saharan Africa through population-based intervention and policy research.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered for the 2024 Dash Scholarship at University of Ghana, you must:
- be a Ghanaian.
- be willing to pursue a full-time study.
- be able to conduct statistical analysis of data independently.
- be willing to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- meet the University of Ghana’s admission requirements for postgraduate studies.
- be able to work both independently and collaboratively, including undertaking fieldwork in challenging settings.
- Evidence of previous publication experience) will be an added advantage (PhD applicants.
- Individuals under the age of 40 years are encouraged to apply.
- Females are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Documents:
To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
- Application Form
- A one-page cover letter.
- Full curriculum Vitae (CV) highlighting statistical analysis skills and research experience (if any).
- Personal statement (1 page for master’s and 2 pages for PhD applicants), indicating your suitability for a scholarship. Outline your previous research or work experience in young people’s health (if ever), and your willingness to pursue a career in adolescent health, and the specific domain.
- At least one letter of recommendation, specifically for the scholarship, attesting to your suitability for an award.
- Proof of application to the relevant postgraduate programme at the University of Ghana.
