1. Morocco:

Morocco, a country famed for its various landscapes, gets snowfall in some areas, providing a lovely contrast to the country’s typical desert environment. The Atlas Mountains, notably the High Atlas and Middle Atlas ranges, are the principal locations for seasonal snowfall. Ifrane, often known as “Little Switzerland,” is well-known for its Alpine-style architecture and is a favorite winter getaway.

2. Algeria:

Given the country’s largely arid and desert climate, snowfall in Algeria is a surprising and infrequent meteorological phenomena. Winter snowfall is uncommon in the Tell Atlas due to its higher elevation. Snow is often limited to specific places and elevations, most notably in northern mountainous areas such as the Kabylie and Aurès Mountains.

3. Ethiopia:

Intermittent snowfall is reported in various mountainous parts of Ethiopia, a country known for its diverse terrains and meteorological circumstances. The Simien Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are one such location, with altitudes over 4,500 meters (14,764 feet) above sea level.

Snow is expected to fall in portions of Johannesburg’s Gauteng region, the Drakensberg Mountains, the Eastern Cape Highlands, and parts of the Western Cape.

5. Lesotho:

Lesotho, a landlocked country in southern Africa, experiences snowfall on occasion, mainly during the winter season. It is the only country on the planet where every inch of land is higher than 1,000 meters (3,280 ft). The country’s high-altitude terrain makes it susceptible to snowfall. Lesotho is more likely to see snowfall during the winter months of June to August.
