The Global AgriFood TechPreneur Programme is a 12-month food system sustainability business development program.

The Global AgriFood TechPreneur program is designed to assist young graduates in addressing critical food sustainability concerns in their country, such as improving food production and distribution, ending hunger, obesity, and malnutrition, and preventing food waste.

Details:

Young graduates are urged to submit an application describing a food system concern in their home country and their proposed solution. All qualified proposals for the AgriFood TechPreneur program will be promoted in March in conjunction with World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development.

Starting in April, all qualified AgriFood TechPreneurs will be enrolled in a 6-week interactive course on Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Sustainability in the Food System, which will be supported by RBS via the Business Builder platform.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be considered for the Global AgriFood TechPreneur Programme:

• Interested applicants must be available for the duration of the programme. Supports made available to the AgriFood TechPreneurs will be dependent on the quality of their proposal, their participation at the 6 week interactive course on Entrepreneurship, Tech and Sustainability in the Food System and the supports that our partners can provide to them.

Training Period: 6 weeks starting from beginning of July.

Benefits:

• To assist AgriFood TechPreneurs in applying for funding to establish or scale up their solution by strengthening their business plan based on what they learned in the 6-week interactive course on Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Sustainability in the Food System. We will urge AgriFood TechPreneurs to conduct small-scale trials where possible because it will help their business plan.
