How To Access Free AI Courses Through LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn also issued the 2024 Workplace Learning Report, which revealed that more individuals desire to develop AI capabilities. LinkedIn Learning is also introducing new career development and internal mobility options.

LinkedIn is giving 250 AI courses for free through April 5th as part of its annual 2024 Workplace Learning Report, which covers the condition of learning and development as well as the skills required for the future.

According to the LinkedIn Learning report (Figure A), four out of every five employees want to learn more about how to use AI in their career. According to Jill Raines, director of product management at LinkedIn, this high figure was one of the report’s surprising results.

The 250 free AI courses are available at LinkedIn’s Learning Hub, but they will be free for everyone until April 5th, regardless of whether they have a Learning subscription. These artificial intelligence classes are offered in seven languages: English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish.

Only one-third of organizations offer internal mobility programs

Another key finding from LinkedIn’s analysis is that just 33% of firms provide internal initiatives to help employees progress their careers (Figure B). This could be because, while the benefits of fostering cultures that encourage internal mobility are obvious, “it’s challenging to get right for many organizations,” Raines said. “In fact, only one in five employees has strong confidence in their ability to make an internal move.”

There are several explanations for this, she added. According to recent LinkedIn data, recruiting managers state that the top three hurdles to internal mobility are:

  • Talent hoarding (40%).
  • Lack of learning and development opportunities to equip people with the skills needed to pivot careers (39%).
  • The organization is lacking an effective process for managing internal mobility (35%).
