Application Requirements For Canadian Universities
Canadian university applications are complex. Here are easy steps make college application checklists. These cover basic application needs. Some universities and courses require more resources, essays, etc. than this list. Course pages list requirements.
Because you’ll pay a CAD$100 non-refundable application fee, you should investigate colleges and courses before applying.
Application Requirements for Canadian Universities
There are documents that need you need to submit to the university you are trying to apply to. Most of these will have to be uploaded to an application portal.
1. Minimum Education Equivalence or Marks:
If you are applying from India, you must have completed a total of 16 years of study prior to beginning your master’s degree in Canada. If you completed a three-year undergrad, you may be required to get a one-year post-graduate credential in India before applying. There is also a list of Canadian universities that accept three-year graduates.
2. University Transcripts:
After graduating, you can ask your college for a transcript detailing your grades, curriculum, and performance. Your college admin office should provide the form and any pertinent details. If you haven’t finished your final exams, you’ll get an interim transcript for overseas university applications. If accepted, you must provide final transcripts.
3. Copy of your university degree:
If you have been given one. If not, then any proof that you have graduated is acceptable. If you’re in your penultimate year of study, you need not worry about this. However, it is good to mention that somewhere in your profile.
4. English Language Requirements:
Canadian universities prefer IELTS over TOEFL. At least 6.5 overall IELTS bands and 6 in each are required. Better higher. TOEFL requires 90 overall and 20 in each component.
5. Statement of Purpose (SOP), CV and Letters of Recommendation:

6. GRE or GMAT:
Are Canadian universities GRE-required? If you want to study MS in Engineering at a top Canadian university, you may need an excellent GRE score. GMAT for MBA. Some university course pages indicate the average scores of past applicants. Use those.
