The ScottishPower Scholarship will provide full financing for domestic and international students pursuing postgraduate courses at UK universities during the academic year 2024-2025. The ScottishPower Masters Scholarship pays all tuition expenses, provides a £14,400 living stipend, and eventually assists with professional and career possibilities (employment) after you complete your studies.

ScottishPower are launching a new call for the ScottishPower Master’s Scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year! Through the ScottishPower Masters Scholarship Programme, the company is looking to develop a new generation of people with enthusiasm for learning, desire to innovate, and aspiration to transform the energy industry.

This programme, which is aimed at graduates and final-year students, aims to promote excellence in the training of new generations and foster the employability of young people in sectors of the future.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be considered for the ScottishPower Masters Scholarship, you must:

• Be a graduate or a final-year student
• Applicants must be in possession of, or expect to receive, a Bachelor with Honours at a minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) or Master’s degree from a recognised university on submission of the application.
• If the applicant is still in the final year of the academic course 2023-2024, the grant will be contingent upon the applicant securing the university degree at the determined level at the end of the academic cycle in June/July 2024.
• must first submit an application to the UK University they wish to attend. Applications submitted by students who have not submitted an application will be rejected.
• not receive any remuneration, wages or be in receipt of any scholarship, financial aid or other award of a similar nature from institutions and public or private foundations during the period that the scholarship is awarded for.
• have not been previously awarded a scholarship by ScottishPower, the ScottishPower Foundation or any of the other companies within the Iberdrola group.

Benefits:

The ScottishPower Scholarship will provide the following;

• Payment of enrolment costs at the university
• A monthly payment of £1,200 per month
• Company mentor
• Assistance with identifying an industry related project to assist with their academic studies
• Exciting career prospects

In return for the scholarship, ScottishPower are looking for each scholar to:

• Promote career opportunities available within the company
• Act as a STEM ambassador for the industry
• Introduce future scholarship applicants to the scheme
• Support any recruitment activities agreed on campus/virtually

ScottishPower will award scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year for postgraduate studies at universities in the United Kingdom in the following fields of study:

• Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / Electronic Engineering
• Environmental Sciences
• Climate Change
• Sustainability / Offshore / Geosciences / Oceanography
• Meteorology
• Wind Power Engineering
• Physics
• Fluid Mechanics
• Data / Cyber / Cyber Security / Telecoms

How to Apply:

Interested and qualified applicants should follow the processes listed below to successfully apply for the ScottishPower Masters Scholarship:

• Submit an aplication to any of the participating universities for postgraduate admission into the eligible
• courses listed above
• Proceed to the Scotishpower Scholarship portal to apply for the scholarship
