University Of Toronto Mastercard Scholarships For African Students

The University of Toronto (U of T) Mastercard Scholarships are a fully supported scholarship program for graduate study at Canada’s preeminent university of learning, discovery, and knowledge creation. U of T is delighted to be one of the world’s top research-intensive universities, determined to invent and innovate.

Prospective academics will build their capacity and networks in order to participate in various healthcare professions and healthcare ecosystems in Africa.

Scholars are expected to return to their home countries upon completion of the program and engage in self-employment or work in a variety of health-related professions to promote health outcomes in their country.

The Mastercard Foundation is a private foundation located in Toronto, Canada, with the mission of providing opportunities for all people to study and flourish.

The Foundation fosters financial inclusion and prosperity for individuals living in poverty via engagement with a global network of educational institutions and non-governmental organizations.

The Foundation believes that Africa’s future will be formed by its young people, including those with academic talent and a desire to give back to their communities.

Scholars in the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at U of T are provided with

• Full financial assistance for tuition,
• Travel expenses to Canada (including obtaining a passport, visa application fees),
• Housing, course materials, health insurance, laptop, food, books, and other expenses for the duration of their graduate degrees.

• Master of Occupational and Environmental Health
• Master of Social and Behavioural Health Sciences
• Master of Health Administration
• Master of Financial Insurance

• Master of Biotechnology
