Guardians reveal 2025 uniform modifications
On Friday, the Cleveland Guardians unveiled revisions to the Cleveland Guardians shirt for the 2025 season. The Guardians’ four outfits will be refined, adding excitement to the set while also reflecting the club’s 124-year history. The four jerseys will be worn alongside Cleveland’s City Connect uniforms to complete the team’s on-field look for 2025.
Blue Alternative Road Uniform
The greatest change for the 2025 season will be Cleveland’s blue alternative uniform set. The jersey will remain navy in color, but will no longer have ‘Cleveland’ across the breast in favor of the Guardians’ ‘Diamond C’ insignia. The new design pays homage to the franchise’s jerseys, which also included a ‘C’ on the breast from 1901 to 1945, notably the 1920 World Series team jersey, while elevating the Guardians primary emblem.
The piping on the blue jersey will differ from the previous outfits, with red-white-red piping to match the navy base.
Red Alternative Home Uniform
The Guardians’ red home alternative jersey will have a new appearance across the breast in 2024, when the script Guardians will be replaced by the club’s Bridge Print font with ‘Guardians’ across the chest. Piping on the red jersey will result in a blue-white-blue appearance.
The new appearance allows the team to continue to incorporate the Guardians brand into the jersey set, which uses the same font as the number set on the back of all Cleveland jerseys.
White Home Uniform
Cleveland’s white home uniform will continue to carry on its primary historic look with script ‘Guardians’ across the chest. The logo will shift from being on a slant to horizontal. New piping will be on the jersey with a red-blue-red design on the neckline and arms.
A new home hat will make its debut in 2025, solely with the white uniform set, as the main color of the hat will change to red with a blue bill. All hats will continue to feature the ‘Diamond C’, and the club’s blue cap with red bill will be worn with all other jerseys (home red, road blue, road gray).
