Brian Robinson Jr., a Washington Commander running back, was candid in a recent social media post about his injury. In a now-deleted post on X (previously Twitter), Robinson appeared to criticize supporters who use rude language toward athletes when their bets lose.

“Being injured is one thing.. but to hear backlash from mfs that sit on they couch every Sunday blowing me,” Robinson wrote.

“Don’t nobody say sh*t when the parlays hit tho.. Y’all have no humility on this app fr.. I wonder why some players don’t respect the fans..”

Robinson’s diatribe occurred during a hamstring injury that forced him to miss the Commanders’ Week 10 home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. It was the former Alabama Crimson Tide’s third missing game of the 2024 NFL regular season, following his absence from Week 6’s away game against the Baltimore Ravens and Week 9’s game against the New York Giants in East Rutherford.

Without Robinson in the 28-27 loss to the Steelers, the Commanders leaned heavily on running back Austin Ekeler for their offensive needs on the ground. Ekeler rushed for only 44 yards on 13 carries, but he did have two rushing scores.

Despite missing three games this season, Robinson, who signed a four-year, $5.04 million contract with Washington in 2022, is still the Commanders’ leading running back in terms of rushing yards (461) and touchdowns (6).

The Commanders have been one of the biggest surprises of the 2024 NFL season thus far, despite their loss to Russell Wilson and the Steelers. However, they fell to 7-3 following a loss to Pittsburgh, which ended Washington’s three-game winning run. Furthermore, the defeat cleared the door for the Philadelphia Eagles to take over first place in the NFC East division rankings, as they moved to 7-2 after defeating the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Speaking of the Eagles, the next test for Jayden Daniels and the Commanders will be a vital matchup between Washington and Philadelphia on Thursday at Lincoln Financial Field in the City of Brotherly Love.
