Boston Red Sox have completed trade for two superstars
The Chicago White Sox are expecting to receive bids for its two finest players, Luis Robert Jr. and Garrett Crochet, this winter. In a deal, each of these talents would earn a significant return. But what if Chicago traded the two together?
That is exactly what Kerry Miller of Bleacher Report has said. Miller recently offered a hypothetical trade that would send Robert and Crochet to the Boston Red Sox in exchange for a handful of good prospects.
Anthony, Boston’s #1 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, slashed.291/.396/.498 spread across two minor league levels. He’s the trade’s crown prize, with aspirations of becoming a major league superstar.
Arias, 18, is Boston’s sixth-ranked prospect and one of the best foreign prospects in the 2023 class. He’s a defensive-minded shortstop who hit well in professional baseball last season.
Sandlin, 23, has strong skills all around, but he’s a little older than the guys Chicago wants to sign. Adding Crochet and Robert would be costly for Boston, but it would immediately put it in the running for the AL East championship.
The Red Sox would also have free agency to expand their roster, potentially adding bullpen help and another starter.
