Hatters striker Morris said Luton supporters deserved to watch Watford battering
Town has up to three goals for the campaign presently.
Carlton Morris, Hatters captain, believes Town fans deserved the 3-0 victory over Watford at Kenilworth Road on Saturday, following a difficult start to the season.
Luton secured their largest derby day home win in over 40 years, with Morris, Jordan Clark and Jacob Brown scoring. Speaking to the club’s official website after the victory, which was only the Hatters’ fifth of the year, the captain said: “I enjoy these games, so to get another win in them, especially at our place, in front of our people, they deserve it. The lads give it their all every day in training, but this week’s energy was a little different.
“So for it to come to fruition like that, and a 3-0 win, is what dreams are made of really. I’m just delighted we gave ourselves, the staff and the fans something to cheer about. It is a cliched thing to say, but they really are a 12th man, it gives you extra energy. I can tell you from experience, when I feel like I’ve got nothing left and they get going, get behind you, it gives you that extra boost. So it’s important that we give it back as well.”
