According to Graeme Bailey’s article on TBR Football, Manchester United is interested in Thomas Frank. The Red Devils are considering parting ways with Erik ten Hag following a terrible start to the 2024/25 season. So, the 50-year-old Brentford manager has emerged as a potential replacement for the Dutch mastermind at Old Trafford.

Thomas Frank has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most underappreciated managers since guiding Brentford to the top level a few years ago. The Bees have proven their critics wrong by becoming a consistent Premier League club with excellent victories over the English bigwigs each season.

The 50-year-old has built a strong team that is not afraid to challenge even the most formidable opponents. That ability has attracted the Danish tactician to several high-profile clubs, particularly in the Premier League. Frank has been linked to a number of clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle United.

According to the most recent report, Frank remains on Manchester United’s radar as the pressure on Erik ten Hag grows. The Red Devils are considering their alternatives ahead of the forthcoming international break, with the current manager under pressure to produce results or face the axe.

Manchester United move on the horizon?

Manchester United’s interest in Thomas Frank is justified, even if, unlike previous managers, he will not be a glamorous addition to Old Trafford. The Danish tactician understands how to deliver results and get his sides to play as a whole rather than separately.

So, Frank may be an excellent managerial choice for Manchester United. However, the Dane is not the only contender on the Premier League club’s radar, with Thomas Tuchel and Gareth Southgate also being considered. Meanwhile, the report refutes rumours that the Red Devils made an offer to Simone Inzaghi.

According to recent sources, the Inter Milan boss rejected Manchester United’s request. So Frank will be in the running to replace Erik ten Hag, with Dan Ashworth making the final decision on the Dutchman’s future at Old Trafford.
